Seaview Thansadet, Than Sadet Beach
This place is a piece of crap in sheeps clothing. The only reason I am mustering up the effort to comment is because of how bad this place was. We had to climb a bloody mountain to get to this place because we didn t pre-arrange pickup service (our fault). This place is hidden and is hard to find, and no-one around the are has any idea where it is either. The toilets dont flush...you flush them with a bucket, Thai standard. The rooms are gross and infested with bugs. The shower is brutal. The mirror in the bathroom was smashed. There was no fan in the room and it was hot as hell. The best part is how our cab ride was BHT1000 for 4 people!!...that s as much as we paid for the room. It was like a 45 minute drive from Haad Rin. This is not a good place to stay for the Full Moon Party at all. The whole place should be bulldozed...don t waste your time

Awesome

I had an awesome time at Seaview. The staff were SO helpful after all the dramas i had before getting to the actual place. The place is basic and what you see on the website but the views are worth it and so is the food they cook. A few things to keep in mind though: - taxi fare from the port should be NO MORE than 200BHT - NOT the 800BHT that i stupidly paid. - make sure the driver takes you all the way to the top - bungalows part, not by the beach as one, that is a totally different resort and two, it will take you around 20 minutes UP a very steep hill and you don t want to do that with luggage??!! I was there on full moon night so they took me to Haad Rin at 10pm and collected me at 7am the following morning for 500BHT - again, cheaper than the 800BHT i paid for a 25 minute taxi ride from the port!!! definately recommend it!!

sawadee have been very helpful and prompt with my requests! well done guys - thanks.

staff was very nice to us apon arrival...tried very hard to make our stay nice...difficult ride to get there in 4 x 4 vehicle...about 45 minute ride from dock...quite isolated area with nice beach area but away from most services...food excellent...old guest hostel that is just being reopened...we had a battle with ants nightly that we eventually won...will get better as bungalows are repaired and updated...no electricity during the day...generator power at night until 12am...15 minute very steep walk to beach through jungle...family owned and run...we booked to have breakfast but were charged for it...they overbook rooms during full moon party....will rate this facility a 6.5 out of 10....the family really made us welcome....would stay there again but not in bungalow #8...suggest you don t either....

you stated breakfast included with the booking daily but we were charged for the breakfast...complained to TAT in bangkok directly but they did nothing...

If you want to be in the jungle and relax, here you can. The beach is a short but steep walk from the bungalows. Make sure that the original taxi that drives you out there doesn t drop you off at the beach where there are some other bungalows. Have them drive up the hill because its a good walk from the beach with your bags especially if you don t know the path. The people that run this place are funny and fun to party with at night. This place is not for people that want to go and do activities around the island everyday. This place is for sitting in the jungle or on the beach and just talk to some friendly strangers.

fast and simple.

I love this place. Thansadet beach is one of the last secluded beaches left on the island. The bungalows are not on the beach, but the short walk from the bungalows really isnt bad. The staff is great. I recommended for adventure/eco travelers, but if your the type that travels with make up and thinks haad rin is a great place, then you defidently will not fit in with the slow and tropical pace of Thansadet.

Sawadee is always great. I have used it over 4 times and will surely use it more.
