It was hard to get to. Keep hotel card with you for taxi. You can walk to anywhere in town but it s in a very small street so you have to watch for cars. The hotel itself was beautiful. Breakfast was good. Pool is nice.

We had an enjoyable stay at the Manathai Village. The hotel is very clean and guest friendly. The room is decorated in Thai style with a four poster bed and a separate partitioned room for the bathroom area. The bathroom had both shower and bath facilites which were separate.
The room was very clean but as some reviewers had commented, had a lack of chairs. This is very true but outside on the balcany there are plenty of tables, chairs and other furniture so its simple - bring them into the room. No problem. Job done.
The gardens are very well maintained with plenty of oriental lamps around the pool and reception area.
These come into their own at night as many of them are candle fired. It really is a dream feeling walking back
into the hotel at night and seeing all these lamps fired up.
The WI-FI is free but I had problems with signal strength from the room with it dropping out. On the
balcony it works fine and the speed is reasonable.
The pool area is very clean and it is a good size pool for swimming. It is not however very deep - maybe
5ft but is adequate for staying in shape and doing a few lengths.
The breakfast is superb with plenty of western and Thai cuisine. The waiting on staff are well on the ball,
greeting you when you arrive, getting you settled and immediately serving tea and coffee. Choice of omeletes
and various dish options are swapped about each morning giving you a good choice.
The hotel location really is good. It is possible to walk to the old city (20 minutes). Wat Pra Sing on the
opposite wall of the old city (30 minutes), the night market (10 minutes) or the Pantip Plaza technical shopping complex (20 minutes) from this hotel. There are plenty of shops, wats, massage, restaurants etc all around this hotel to keep you busy for a while. There are plenty of Songthaews going up and down to take you all over the city so just flag them down. To the main shopping centre and most places is about 20 baht each.
For booking trips the hotel is quite competative. They will organise trips to places such as Doi Inthanon at
a good rate and also a Khantoke dinner is something I would recommend doing while you are here.
Overall, a very good stay and would recommend. I would stay here again if I am in Chiang Mai Ian & Pairorh

We were a group of three spending a couple of days in Chiang Mai on our way to Chiang Rai. A wonderful hotel to stay in from the moment we walked in the door. The rooms were beautiful and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Would definately recommend this hotel.

The hotel is ideally located for walking to the Old City or the market areas. Staff were friendly and the hotel has a character to it although the room we had was noisy at night due to neighbourhood dogs. would recommend this hotel but request a room that has a balcony or sitting area on the lower level. At festive times such as Xmas or New Year the hotel operates a complusory dinner in there program. Personally i would prefer to have a choice in this.

Best hotel in Chiang Mai. The building is 100% Thai style and very very beautiful. The location is quite and close to everything. The decoration is exceptional tasteful, and stylish. Service and cleaness are perfect. This hotel can be highly recommended. If I stay in Chaing Mai again, I would choose this place.

We had a fantastic holiday at the Manathai. We were on honeymoon. It is a great hotel for couples who want to relax and get away from the hustle and bussle but is only a short walk to the night bizaar markets The Staff and Management are very helpful and made our stay a pleasure.. We would highly recommend the Manathai.

Beautiful place, in a quiet area, very nice buildings with lots of wooden parts and decoration which look a bit like traditional thai houses. A quite modern and comfortable structure though. The room was very smart and seemed quite new. One small problem : difficult to get the perfect temperature from the shower (either too hot or too cold).

We were overall happy and satisfied with our 4-night stay at the Manathai Village. This boutique hotel is very charming, clean and is filled with beautiful people, very friendly and ever so helpful. The surroundings with all the greeneries and water features, blended with the sound of birds chirping and frog s croaking, put us in a holiday mood immediately. Inside of the room did not disappoint either, with its lovely woody theme and nice, big granite bath tub! Location is quite convenient too, at the quieter corner of the city centre, yet near enough to walk to the Night Bazaar (which was nothing great), but not right in the middle of all the noise and traffic. There is also quite a good massage place just across the main road of the hotel in the samll lane (Soi 2). Breakfast spread was not that great but good enough for a decent breakfast. :)

Good location particularly if it is your first visit to Chiang Mai. Small boutique style hotel with a lot of thought to the design and gardens. Excellent service and good room though not large. Breakfast good and provided a lot of choice - inclusive in price.
Attention to detail. Value for money.
Reservation service:
No problems regarding payments. We did request a twin room but when we arrived only doubles were available.
